Sendmail/Dovecot Retrieving Email - Stop Local Mail Delivery

I am having a problem retrieving email on other clients.

If I am using outlook express, I can send email fine, but I can't recieve any.

I checked the server and went to the test account and typed in "mail". All the test emails I sent are there, this must mean that all email is going to the local account, and not staying on the server, so when I try check my mail, the server doesn't have it anymore.

My question is how do I force sendmail/dovecot to NOT send the mail to the local account, or how can I force the mail to stay on the server?

Thanks

I kinda need an answer to this ASAP =\
