The camera is not in KDE's list of cameras. I'm using Mandrake. Any ideas would be welcome.

Could you provide more info on camera itself ?

If it is I supose an USB type camera you can use Digikam and select camera type manualy as USB Mass Storage or PTP camera (I guess these are ones with CompactFlash, IBM Microdirve etc.). Also you may try selecting some other Samsung model and try if it works ?

Im having one of those cameras as well.
Running xandros 2.0
Its not suportet in the digikam program, but i can browse the camera as "removable storage" in my file manager. Try to look there if u find it.

I have a samsung digimax 230 and its not supported in Gphoto2 (which Kamera uses), but they do not in general support cameras that can be seen as removable storage devices.

I must admit, I never got it to work as a USB disk, but as it uses CF cards, and my compact flash reader works fine, I just use that.

Digimax101

HI. I've just switched toSuse 9:2 Linux and have been trying to work witha Digimax 101 too. It seems if I connect to the usb port then turn the camera on, after many seconds a window opens on my desktop called file:/media/usb-010000:0:0:0:0p1. Within that there is a folder called dcim and the pictures are in there in a folder called 100sscam. I can drag and drop them from there. As I move them, the storage on the camera is emptied. Does that help? Is there a better way?
