I'm using Ubuntu with KDE.

I got a notebook Dell XPS nvidia 6800 go ultra.


For some reason most of the time that I'm viewing videos in youtube the computer just shutdown by itself.

I can be online with kubuntu all day with no problems whatsoever, but when I'm using youtube, after a while it shutdown by itself.

Its not like Bsod, kubuntu actually log me out before turning it off.

I'm beginning to think that its an over-heating problem, but I don't know, cause I don't have any temperature software or fan control.

I was trying to install i8kutils or whatever the name is, but failed and resign cause I read that it doesn't work well on Linux.

Is this shutdown behavior a common problem or it actually be due over-heating, if so, its weird cause I never have over-heating problems with Windows.

This is the last boundary so I can use Linux the whole time, and avoid switching to view some videos.
