I have an NFS server(installed on RHEL3.0) running in the network.
When I try to mount the shared files using NFS client service from a client machine(client 1), it gives the following error"mount: 172.24.30.6:/nfs/abc failed, reason given by server: Permission denied".
But Im able to mount the same file from other clients in my network.
The shared file is shared to whole world.
/nfs/abc *(ro,sync)---Line added in the /etc/exports file.

I have done that but I still have the problem.
Im not able to mount those shared files only from one client.
Will there be any configuration files for NFS wherein we can restrict few clients from mounting the shared files.
Ur link really helped me knowing some useful information.
I have some lines added in the /etc/hosts file related to my client machine.
Even after removing them, im not able to mount the two particular shares.
When I execute the "exportfs -r" It gives an error message for the two particular shares against the client. The error message displayed is as follows,
client.company.com:/nfs/abc:Invalid argument
Im able to ping from my server to client and vice versa
Thanks a lot,
Vamsee
