php nuke - mysql and system user

I went to Phpnuke.org to look up the answer, but to no avail. Basically, I want my portal set up so that when someone creates a user account for the portal (stored in mysql), I also want it to generate a system user account with no bash access (for e-mail) and have it use the same password or prompt for a password to be entered again.

My current setup is pretty crappy. I have to make the account manually, and give them a password. In the future, they will be able to go in and change it themselves, supposedly within squirrelmail, havent had time to install that addon yet.

Thanks in advance!!
