openoffice-2.0 calc --cells missing when opened in ms format .xls

hello all,
I am using Openoffice latest version2.0.......
I got a problem that some cells are missing
when I save a file in ms spreadsheet extension .xls in windows system.
These are viewed properly in linux box,
but cells are missing in a windows system...........
I am using fedora core 3
Does anyone have faced the same problem earlier.......

Thanks in Advance,
Sailaja Bhandaru

oo is not really a usable product either for experienced users or for interoperability with ms there are HUGE issues.

try saving the file in excel-97 format .. the oldest and hope it makes it. .. play around and see what works for you.
you will NOT get everything to work for free (yet).
