Open source accounting software

Hi folks,

Peachtree and MYOB are proprietary sccounting soflware. Is there equivalent from Open Source?

Which search engine will be effective for their search other than Sourceforge and Freshmeat.

TIA

Hi darkleaf,

Tks for your advice.

I made a search on Sourceforge and found "Web Order Transporter"
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ordertransport/

A small business e-commerce product written in REALBasic 3.0 and Visual Basic that produces an import file for Accounting Systems like Quickbooks, Peachtree, and MYOB. But they are on planning stage.

Well I don't know if you saw that but it says that it's in planning stage so it could take some (a lot?) of time before it's released.
