ntp client: no server suitable for synchronization found

Every time I restart the ntpd service in a ntp server, it would take a long time for the client to ntpdate the server.

Before the client can sync time with the server, the client gets the message: no server suitable for synchronization found.

I don't know why the ntp service of the ntp server is not ready instantly after I started it?

Anyone help?

Shawn

In file /etc/ntp.conf, do you have a line showing the ntp server you want to synchronize with?
