Need help with wine before my head explodes

I am really new to Linux I have tried it briefly, but I downlaoded and installed Linux Fedora Core 1 and my old little Hewlit Packard computer I am runnign Windows XP Pro on my main custom built pc. But this pc is really old has liek an intel 500mhz processor and its just a backup, but linux fedora runs alot smoother than windoes 98 se did so i am keeping it. I am getting the biggest headache from tryng to install wine lol I went to winehq.com and downloaded the latest version and devel package I believe and I cant get it to install or work I double clicked the 2 fiels and it asked fopr a root password and then it installed soemthing I guess but I cant figure out how to get it to worlk if someone could help it would be great., and really appreciated.

Open up a terminal and type wine. If it doesn't say command not found, then you have Wine installed. To use it, type in
wine YourWindowsExe.exe

For Wine to work, you need to run the wine servver. In Fedora go to the menu and select System settings --> Server settings --> Services

And in there select wine and run(start) it. Then return to the console and type wine notepad. That should produce a Windows like Notepad program.

Good luck!

Peace!

It will be in your home dir under your fake windows drive something like this:

/home/yourusername/.wine/fake_windows/c/program files

Cant remember the exact dir structure of wine but its deffinately in your /home/username/.wine/...soemthingsomething look in there for your fake windows then c then program files basically the same as your windows dir layout.
