Nagios Addon NRPE didnt start?

My NRPE daemon didnt manage to start and i found out the following,

"You must enable xinetd to use this service.".......... Can i know whats going on?

The below are the nrpe file in /etc/xinetd.d

# default: on
# description: NRPE
service nrpe
{
flags = REUSE
socket_type = stream
wait = no
user = nagios
group = nagios
server = /usr/local/nagios/nrpe
server_args = -c /usr/local/nagios/nrpe.cfg --inetd
log_on_failure += USERID
disable = no
only_from = 192.168.1.150
}

Can i know is there any problem on it?
Anyone knows, please help.....

If that is one of the configs for xinetd, have you restarted or enabled xinetd?

I have restart xinetd....

Code:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd restart

but can i know how to enable xinetd? Is there a way to edit some config to enable it?

Anyone knows, please help....

i have installed nagios, using quickguide for nagios installation. and also basic plugins for ubunut 9.04

i have to add now nrpe for monitoring remote host. can some one help me how to install this. i have downloaded this plugins.. what is next.
