mounting shares with samba
I have samba running and I can use smbclient to connect to and get files from the windows PC. I included smbfs in the kernel but I can't get the share to mount and the error message isn't very detailed.
I tried to mount like this:
mount -t smbfs //BENEDEN/C /mnt/nw
But it gives this error:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //BENEDEN//C,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
Is there something wrong in my syntax? Do I need more than just samba support in my kernel. The windows version is milenium, I don't need another file system support for that don't I?
Thanks for any help!
