MSN stopped supporting third party tools for their messenger service. Wait for some time to see whether some one comes up with a plug-in for it.

What are you talking about? I"m using aMSN and GAIM and I can log in just fine.

Try upgrading GAIM to version 0.75.

i'm afraid you are not correct, Trillian cracked the new MSN encryption methods within 3 hours of it going live, and gaim had aquired this information from Trillian and had released a path within 12 hours.

Sure, Microsoft does't support third parties doesn't stop them working though.

I'm using slackware and gaim .75 on 3 seperate machines, no problems, just follow the directions given in the faq on gaims site

http://gaim.sourceforge.net/faq-ssl.php#q24
thats the gnutls info, follow that exactly and everything should work
