lirc on msi mega 180

I am having trouble getting the remote that comes with the msi mega 180 barebones pc to work. I don't think I am setting up lirc properly, I'm not really sure what options to use on the lirc setup.sh.

I am using Slackware 10.1.

Please help me if you can. I'm not sure what driver to use, and I don't know how to check to see how it is connected to my computer. I don't really know much at all about this stuff.
