Question

Hi,

I have here a Siemens PCD-4ND , 486 DX75 20MB ram 800MB HD
and there is the problem a graficcontroller called :
WD 90 C 24A2 running on VESA local BUS.

In my xf86config carddatabase it has the number 576 but it says its unsupported ( Why is it in the database when unsupported ?) if I choose it and startx or probeonly I got only 2 redlines from left to right on my screen.
Im useing SuSE7.0 currently , but I tried Debian also.
Any Ideas ?

Well...

I am sorry.. I meant Generic VGA Compatible.

If that doesn't work, you might be able to run X on this machine.

Frankly, with a 486 and 20MB of RAM.. I don't think you would find the performance acceptable anyway. Certainly not running something like KDE or GNOME.
