Linux drivers for Logitech Driving Force GT and getting rid of deadzone

I want to know if some Linux drivers have been written for "Logitech Driving Force GT" wheel.
http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/gaming...s/devices/4172

I looked up the following link, but can't find the relevant driver:
http://www.quickcamteam.net/software/linux/drivers

The "quickcamteam" forums have disabled the new account registrations, so I can't ask this there.

The Google results are showing up threads but for a different version namely G25.

Any helps?

I think the driver is

plus some others in the same section. I can't be sure if it works, but try it.

It's in the kernel config, when you run make menuconfig. Check your kernel config for 'CONFIG_LOGITECH_FF'. What distro is this on ? Most of the time there is a /proc/config.gz so you can run:

Code:
zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_LOGITECH_FF

So, the update is that I tested another wheel of Logitech which we
already have:

Formula™ Vibration Feedback Wheel
http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/441/298?WT.z_sp=Image

like this:
Code:
linux-dopx:~ # jstest /dev/input/js0
Driver version is 2.1.0.
Joystick (Logitech Logitech Racing Wheel) has 4 axes (X, Y, Hat0X, Hat0Y)
and 12 buttons (Trigger, ThumbBtn, ThumbBtn2, TopBtn, TopBtn2, PinkieBtn, BaseBtn, BaseBtn2, BaseBtn3, BaseBtn4, BaseBtn5, BaseBtn6).
Testing ... (interrupt to exit)
Axes: 0: 0 1: 0 2: 0 3: 0 Buttons: 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off 8:Axes: 0: 0 1: 0 2: 0 3: 0 Buttons: 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off 8:Axes: 0: 0 1: 0 2: 0 3: 0 Buttons: 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off 8:Axes: 0: 0 1: 0 2: 0 3: 0 Buttons: 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off 8:Axes: 0: 0 1: 0 2: 0 3: 0 Buttons: 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off 8:
and it worked, the wheel and the buttons "were" responding as I was pressing
them.

jstest is a tool for testing joysticks on Linux, it was pre-installed
on Suse 11.3 64 bit.

And there is another tool namely jscalibrator for calibration of the
joy stick.

We currently don't have the GT, so can't test it.

That link lead to this page: https://github.com/TripleSpeeder/LTWheelConf/downloads
Downloaded that software, had to install libusb-compat-devel for it to compile.

Anyway, through that software we could set the wheel options etc. like this:
Code:
./ltwheelconf -w DFGT -n --range 900 --autocenter 0 --rampspeed 0
and then running jstest didn't disappoint.

Crux: Logitech Driving Force GT does work on OpenSuse 11.3 64 bit.

Update:

For removal of deadzone, install https://github.com/Grumbel/jstest-gtk, and configure this wheel with it, and live happily for ever.
