learning cross compiling-compiling library from soruce

Hey guys.

Im using libxbee in a project in which I will be using on a raspberry pi. I have set up crosstool-ng and am now working on the libxbee. My question is this: In the instructions it says to run make configure, make, make install. The make configure creates a conf file that I can change the CC field, but do I need to do anything for the make configure to correctly work? Or do I just run it and worry about the cross compiling later after it configures?

Thanks in advance

Looks like options can be added in ..

libxbee.libxbee-v3/config.mk
libxbee.libxbee-v3/make/default/ arm920t.mk linux.mk
libxbee.libxbee-v3/make/ install.unix.mk libconfig.mk os.linux.mk

Why not start adding the cross compiler in the "CC=" line,
and in the "CROSS_COMPILE?=" line.

And may be set "CFLAGS=" to the "cross compiler libc*" location.

.
