Konqueror + file:/usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html

In Konqueror the homepage is automatically set to file:/usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html by default (in redhat) asking you to subscribe to redhat or something

Even if you set a homepage in Settings>Configure konqueror it still goes to file:/usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html

Anyone got how to disable it?

Lightbulb Changing the homepage.

When you start Konqueror, type in the address of the URL you want to set as your homepage, then goto *settings* then click on *save view profile - web browsing* click on *web browsing*, then click ok... it shouldn't open up on file:/usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html
anymore.
Good Luck!

Lightbulb konqueror startup

saving profile didnt worked for me as i wanted to open konqueror with a blank screen.
the solution was quite simple.
i edited one line of the file .kde/share/apps/konqueror/profiles/webbrowsing
in my home directory and changed the View0_URL parameter.
now the profile section of my file is :

[Profile]
Name=Web Browsing
RootItem=View0
View0_LinkedView=false
View0_LockedLocation=false
View0_PassiveMode=false
View0_ServiceName=khtml
View0_ServiceType=text/html
View0_ToggleView=false
View0_URL=
View0_docContainer=true

hope it will work.

But Ocifer i swear to drunk i am not god !
