known server-weaknesses at openoffice.org?

i have been trying to download openoffice for quite a long time now, none of the servers actually lets my download start. are there any known problems?

nope, no known problems... you just need to use "passive ftp" mode...

http://slacksite.com/other/ftp.html

for example, this won't work:

wget ftp://ftp.leo.org/pub/openoffice/loc...tall_de.tar.gz

but this WILL:

Code:

wget --passive-ftp ftp://ftp.leo.org/pub/openoffice/loc...tall_de.tar.gz
