Kmix in System tray, "weird"

My Volume and everything is working great, I just wonder why, when I click on the bell "kmix" then adjust the volume to the top, then close it, I then put my mouse over it and it says 31%, I check Aumix and it is at 100% and very loud,

??? why does it report wrong at 31% ???
because it is actually at 100%

is thier any way to correct this???
it is just annoying...
