k3b: To choose "normal" or "clone" copying

Hi!
I need to write on the HDD an ISO image to be burned later on. The k3b interface offers "normal copying" and "clone copying" (though both produce .iso files). Having in mind that the master CD to be copied is the installation kit of a program, could you please tell me what copying way to choose?
Thanks!

I did try the "clone copying" way. It's incredibly slow; after 3 hours of "copying" process I gave up (the speed was not only extremely low but even continuously decreasing). Then I consulted the man page of mkisofs command but found no reference to "clone" option and no valid option to suggest such a standard.
