Is it possible to script window placement?

When I log in, I would like a script to run that will open all of my apps in the same positions everytime. I know that I can set KDE to store the window info at shutdown. But here at the office I connect to 4 different windows servers using rdesktop. Windows Terminal Services can be a bugger if you do not exit gracefully. So, I need to create a script that will force the window placement of the apps rather than just opening everything, and moving things around by hand.

Any guidence would be appriciated.

I think you can do such kind of things when you run the application by using the -geometry argument. There you can set size and position. From xterm manpage:

Code:
      -geometry geometry
This option specifies the preferred size and position of the
               VT102 window; see X(7x)
