hi
you can have two ip to a single card.

to assign:
ifconfig ethX:0 ipaddress netmask 255.*.*.* broadcast *.*.*.255 up

Note: ethX can be eth0,eth1 etc.

You can assign more ip's for ethX:1,ethX:2 ....... etc
regards
Mahesh

Dear bmahesh,

I understand that one eth card can assigned with two IP address, and i know how to do that.

But that is not the answer, i want to know whether when i assign virtual IP to my server which have public IP, will it work with my squid? coz squid will listen to internal IP request, so it need a VIRTUAL IP too.

Is it right?
