Unhappy Installing R/H 8.0 on a prtition drive

I am trying to install Redhat 8.0 on a partitioned drive that has w98se installed on 1st partition. I am using druid and it shows HDA1 and HDA5 at the top of the partitioning screen. Since I assume that w98 is in the 1st partition which should be HDA1, then I should install my boot-root and swap files on HDA5. Should I edit this HDA5 partition or creat a new partition? I do not want to mistakenly write on the w98 part of the drive as I have a business application on it.

1st things first, the best way to set up RH8 as a dual boot is to have windows on a partition on the drive first, and leave the remaining space unallocated. That way during install you can choose, install in remaining unallocated space. This way you are sure not to harm Windoze, and the 2nd partition can be set up by Linux. Look at the usage data on each of your partitions and delete the one that doesn't have windoze on it.. Good luck.. Red Hat 8 rules as a dual boot.

Thank You, did as you suggested and everything came up OK. Now have Win98 and Linux running in dual boot mode.
