How to migrate from Thunderbird v115.3.1 (64-bit) (Supernova) to Evolution (Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS)

Answered Long ago (2007-06-24): https://www.linuxquestions.org/linux...d_to_Evolution

Now would like a more recent answer. Thank you.

TBH dude, i would fully expect these instructions to still work.
thunderbird & evolution are both open source programs with large user bases.

The only other thing I would add to these instructions is that
1. Most email providers use IMAP now, so simply by adding your account in evolution, you should have all of your emails.
2. Your address book & calendars would be the only things not automatically transferred.

Thank you. I'll try to let you know the outcome. I'm all IMAP and thought that was the case. I'm not so sure I'll need the Address Book just yet. I'm researching Alternatives since the Automatic TB 115 Update Debacle. Since when should you really need an add-on to move Subfolders OR Write a program that gets rid of the functionality of an add-on that provides it? Boggles the mind (mine is kinda small).

Edit: It looks like it is not possible to Manually Sort Subfolders in Evolution (Easily or At All). I guess I will have to wait for TB [OR the original add-on, Tnx While it Lasted)] to fix theirs. Thanks

Please correct me if I am wrong (And I'd Like To Be Wrong!)
