Hi

I want to know how a CDwriter in Linux works, the interface between the application & the kernel upto the Device.

ie .. the Flow of working of CD Writer under Redhat Linux.

Added to it I am looking for a source of the Yamaha CDR-100 CDWriter Driver Source Download If any body find it Kindly send the page to download those

Thanks & Regards,
Sundar.

This may be off topic, but shortly after I purchased a Yamaha CD-RW in mid-2003, they quit the business. (Take a look at Yamaha CD-RW's at, say, Amazon, and you'll see that they pretty much are "not stocked or have been discontinued").

My point is that if you are going to be spending significant time working with CD device drivers, you might want to work with a model that is still being manufactured rather than a discontinued product. -- J.W.
