How do I compile a terminfo entry

I have created a terminfo database description file. How do I compile it?
On non-linux systems I would use tic, but I cannot find this program anywhere.

I am using SuSE linux 9.3

On linux systems tic is also used, sounds like you need to install it.

It doesn't appear to be part of the release. It seems strange to me. Am I doing something wrong?

If someone could tell me which package tic is in. It will probably be in the same package as captoinfo.
If I could get the sources I would compile it.

tic is part of Ncurses , homepage for this package is at gnu.org

It was in the ncurses-devel package.
