help a new bie


hi newbie here..
i have redhat 7 running and want to upgrade to 7.2
what should i do?

i have no 7.2 CD i'm expecting to download the update.

Insert CD (that you burn) in to drive

Select the option to Install or Upgrade Red Hat

Follow on screen pompts.

I DON'T HAVE A CD FOR 7.2 AND DON'T INTEND TO DOWNLOAD ONE EITHER!

You'd do better asking us to help if you try being polite, my post was to show you what sort of reaction you get when you let your finger stray to the caps lock key and it seems to have worked. Maybe you should go and have a cool drink and then try again?

How do you expect to get the files, through osmosis?


ncftp ftp.redhat.com

cd /pub/redhat

cd *7.2*

cd iso/i386

get *i3*


or use

bgget *i3*

bgstart

come back in a few days and it should be there...
