gtk , gdk ?????


hi

it's like i wan't to check whether these packages are pre-installed in my system or not

"" GTK 1.2 or , openssl 0.9.6 and gdk-pixbuf 0.8.0 """""'


how can i do this

i mean wht is the command for checking this out

and where can i possibly find these so that i can download them if they aren't there in my system

plz help

pkg-config --modversion gtk+
pkg-config --modversion gdk
pkg-config --modversion openssl

rpm -qa and pipe it through grep to filter what string to match:
rpm -qa | grep openssl

also, if you know what you are looking for try: http://rpm.pbone.net/

and put what you want in the serach bar, and press search, you can download from there.

You know that the command autopsy gave you will only work for packages you installed from rpm.

If you need to know what libraries are installed that were installed both by rpm and from source then:

thank u komakino for u'r help

m having one more trouble and that is i've tried installing amsn , gaim and yahoo's linux client but none of them works

when i install yahoo's msn cient i get a "segmentation fault" whereas when i install gaim i get

bad key id and V3 DSA error

wht should i do

i thought linux is the answer to my world of freakness buut this thing is really bugging me a loot
