Please check this menu.list file..while reboot the system
On boot time one screen I need to show some message like "Welcome to Centos" next screen flash want to show one image..then it will load system..
Now the problem is ,
Not able to show a message.
The image is not comming after timeout..
if I enter then it will show picture and title on the same screen..
So how to change that...Please help me..
I'm not sure I'm understanding what you want. It seems as though you want two separate splashimages showing consecutively which I don't believe will work, is that it?
Customizing grub to show a message and splashimage

Dear Yancek,
That means I just changed the picture...but while loading its shows in the background of kernel selection..
I want to show this image alone..then jump to kernel selection timeout then ...if possible show one message..

That is what the splashimage is, a background image for the boot menu. Do you want to just show the image without the menu? I don't think that would work. Once it has made the kernel selection, you are no longer in Grub. I don't know how you would get a new image but I imagine it is possible as most distributions show their distribution logo or name on boot.

Yes Yancke,
Like that I need to show my logo while booting time..
and another doubt is it possible to change the messages showing at the time of reboot..or shutdown command execution.
That is broadcast message
An online search indicates that the kernel would need to be modified. An example is at the link below. You might look for something specific to the RedHat family:
