google earth install


How do I install googleearthlinux.bin?

Or more simply - googleearth 4.3 is available from the Ubuntu repository. Just go into Synaptic and let it download and install it for you.

To expand on whats been said by ErV, you first need to make the file executable by running the commands below in a terminal
Code:
chmod +x googleearthlinux.bin
After that run the installer by entering
Code:
./googleearthlinux.bin

i saw you screenshots and really like the background image for conky, can you tell where did you get that? thanks!

I wasn't using Conky. Its just superkaramba with liquid weather++ and another theme called cynapses.
