FluxBox Font Size or Resolution

I have just installed Flux 0.9.8, but also had similar problems on the latest stable version - all of my fonts are oversized to the usual size. The strange this is that when I log in as root, the fonts are the usual smaller correct size

I am running 1280x1024.

The screen resolution appears to be this resolution but with these big fonts?

You mean the fonts in the fluxbox menu, window decorations etc? I would just edit the style you are using to use more suitably sized fonts. If everything is oversized (ie the contents of your application windows too), try running X at a different resolution (eg. I think the command is something like startx -- -dpi 100).

I started x with startx -- -dpi 100

.... and bingo!! i am running fonts that have a decent small size.

Can you help with one more question .. how can I make this happen on every boot-up?
