I installed the flash plugin rpm, it installs fine, running [rpm -q flash-plugin] shows its been installed, I checked the mozilla/plugins folder and the files libflashplayer.so and flashplayer.xpt are there. but it dosent work in firefox or konqueror.
I have to be missing something simple
thanks..
yeah... firefox and konqueror wouldn't use mozilla's plugin folder... check their plugins... firefox should make this painless for you, though -- browse to a flash site (www.homestarrunner.com), look up, and click 'install missing plugin' should work...

I've tryed the automatic install. it fails and asks to do manual install. I've also tryed looking for a firefox/plugins folder to just copy the files to but I can't find one for the life of me.. haven't spent alot of time looking for the konqueror/plugin folder.
i'd think AVD's problem sheds more light on the subject... but never working with 64, and not needing to, i'll wish the both of y'all the best finding a solution...
flash plugin does not work for firefox 64 bit. remove the 64bit firefox and replace with 32bit firefox. the flash player plugin will work with this one because it is 32 bit. when 64 bit flash plugin will be relased? hmmm
