Unhappy Evergreen Library soft installation error

I am having red hat free distribution of red hat,and i am installing an evergreen library system software ..i am new to linux environment but quite handy to it.
while istalling software ,in one of my step i ran make -f src/extras/Makefile.install rhel

and then its giving me an error :-

missing dependency:memcached needed by packages perl-libmemcached-memcached.

i hav download and install memcached and even download and install libevent which is require for memcached , but same above error occurs..

when i do sudo yum install memcached ..it shows me no package memcacehd available ,nothing to do.

plz guide me in a better understandable way ,as i m not much familiar with linux environment

# yum install libmemcached-devel

'memcached' / 'libmemcached' / libmemcached-devel
Packages are in the Karanbir.repo / Remi.repo / Rpmforge.repo .

Or at : http://rpm.pbone.net/
> Search > Advanced Search : tick Redhat EL5, CentOS5.

Please tell which OS you are using. ("red hat free" isn't a valid ID.)

http://linuxsilo.net/docs/smart-questions_en.html

The command : 'cat /etc/redhat-release' will reply with the Redhat version.

And by the way : # yum install perl-Memcached-libmemcached
.. will install the Rpmforge package ( Enable rpmforge.repo ),
and will also install dependencies.

..
