error in compilation gives `TIOCGDEV' undeclared

hi,
i downloaded source rpm for hwinfo-10.16-3 and got hwinfo-10.16.tar.bz2. then i untar and try to make but i got following errors

How can i solve this? I downloaded srpm from suse and using Fedora core 4

"Apparently" the `TIOCGDEV' is SuSE-specific ioctl. Your choices are:
- source from Debian (only place I could find it at) http://packages.debian.org/unstable/admin/hwinfo (needs libsysfs),
- an unofficial RHL/FC4 hwinfo .src.rpm,
- or patch your kernel (baaaahhhhb) and suffer the consequences...
