Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: atrpms.

I am facing a problem with my yum repositories.
I am displaying the output of my repos.d, /etc/yum.conf and the error message I get when I am trying to run yum upgrade or yum list samba*

[root@localhost ~]# yum upgrade

file:///media/CentOS/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 5] OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/media/CentOS/repodata/repomd.xml'
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: c5-media. Please verify its path and try again

Ok, you are using one repo for FC5 and another for Centos4. Repos are specific for distro, versio, and arch. What distro, version, and arch, are you running?

Actually, FC5 is compatible with Centos4 or RHEL4 (and FC6 is compatible with Centos5 and RHEL5). The problems you are having are:

1) you are trying to use the "Media" repo without your cd in the drive. You need to put the cd in the drive or disable that repo
2) http://dl.atrpms.net/ no longer has a FC5 repo, you need to delete that one from your repos.d directory

Actually RHEL4 was based on FC3(and RHEL5 was based on FC6). Some packages from other versions MAY work but the further you get from the based versions the less likely this will be. Even using FC3 packages on RHEL4(or FC6 packages on RHEL5) should be considered only as a last resort.
