Question Enable root login in wu-ftpd?

How could I make wu-ftpd allow root to login? I know it is insecure, but it lets me easily edit config files in koquerer. I am the only one useing the server.

Thanks, Sevoma

You know its insecure? Then why use it? If this machine is connected to the internet somehow and your doing this across any network, using root in such fashion is a bad idea and you should not get use to doing stuff in such ways.

Why not use ssh and along with sudo setup on your machine to edit config files on the box itself, instead of what sounds like downloading the files, then reuploading them, which is the wrong way of doing such tasks.

Nevermind. I fixed it. All I did was remove root from /etc/ftpusers file.

So your willing to make your system a security risk and open that door up instead of learning to use ssh and a command line interface? Practicing safe and secure ways to your own system usually follow you around, not practicing such things leads to bad habits.
