dualboot problem with kernel 2.6?

Hello,

I have a Debian system with kernel 2.4.
I have deleted my winxp and installed Suse 9.1 with 2.6 kernel.
If I boot from a knoppix cd, I can see Suse and Debian.
From harddisk can I boot Suse, but *not* Debian.
If Suse runs, I cannot edit on the Debian partitie.
Debian has xct3 and Suse rijfer.
The only thing I want is start Debian, or edit hda4 (the Debian partitie)
On knoppix I cannot edit both.
Hdb1, a separate hd from 80 Gb and fat32, is not editable too.
At the moment, I can't see the disk even more.

I have heard it is a problem with the 2.6 kernel?

Has anybody some solusion?
