I have a new machine with LINUX Red Hat 5 installed. As I try to use command dos2unix I got:

Code:
-bash: dos2unix: command not found
How can I install this command?

# yum search dos2unix
# yum install dos2unix

And 'dos2unix' is on the install DVD / cd : disc 1.

The Redhat source :

Download and install dos2unix RPM on your system to use that command. Good luck.

@sayan_acharjee post # 5 :
You are not supposed to download basic / system packages
for Linux. The 'Package Manager' / yum is to be used.

Download is when you want a package not indexed
in the "10,000 packages index".
.

Right, but if the system is a stand alone one (i.e, if its not in a network) then yum won't work.

if you dont' have dos2unix , then make your own. tr for example is a standard *nix tool in most systems
Code:
tr -d '\r' < input.file  > new.file
