Dhclient.conf parse error behavior

Hello All,
I want to know what happens if the dhclient.conf parsing fails for some reason like wrong option or missing comma? Does the dhclient still goes ahead and requests/renews a lease?

I looked a lot in all of the dhclient man pages (dhclient-option, dhclient.conf etc) but couldn't find anything regarding this.

just try it.

I'd imagine the client wouldn't execute at all. config files are meant to be correct, and ignoring an invalid configuration can cause all sorts of confusing issues, and is not something I would ever expect. It's not responsible to carry on if the file is invalid.
