I would like to know how to put an icon on my desktop for my Zip Plus drive so I can access it. I would also like to know how I can put an icon on the desktop for my CompactFlash reader/writer so I can access it. Thanks a lot to those who responded to my two previous posts.
Sorry I took so long but i just got home a few minutes ago and i just saw your message about your zip drive problem. I found a how to page but it has said anything about adding a icon to access your zip drive if you like oyu can take a look at it and judge for yourself. Click here
It also depends on what windows manager you are using because they told me you should read the doc for it. There should be a way of creating a shortcut to that zip drive and compact flash reader. I hope this helps
Reflx the page you found is for Redhat 4.2. It may and it may not work. I want you to find out more and make sure there are no compatibility differences between the two distrobutions I should know about. If there are we may have more issues to deal with than when we started.
