Changing SSH remote login look

I'm not sure if this is just general linux related, or if it is actually SSH related, or what, but how can I change the look of a remote ssh login? I've seen some where it comes up with ascii art, or says something before you get the login prompt. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about and I'm not explaining it right, please correct me.

Thanks!

You can set a Banner file option in sshd_config:
man sshd_config

This is only supported in ssh protocol 2 so you may also want to enforce that.
