You're talking about a removable media cataloger, right? Well, there are definitely programs available, but I don't know if any of them fully duplicate what LazyCat seems to do. Here's what a couple of quick apt-cache searches pulled up on my system:

cdcat
disksearch
gwhere
gtktalog

I've never tried any of them, so I can't recommend one, but I hope it gives you a starting point.
