Cannot connect to port 25 from other machine...

I am trying to set up a Fedora Core 1 system with postfix to act as an MTA front end to exchange. Basically for spamassassin.

To start off, I set up main.cf and access. I added my subnets so they could relay through the machine. But I cannot connect to the linux server on port 25 from other machines. I can connect form the localhost, but not from another machine on the network.

I tried adding the subnet to hosts.allow, but this also did not work.

Any ideas?

Check your firewall.

Thanks for the quick response.

I rebooted the machine, and now all is working. I had previously run "/etc/init.d/postfix reload" and the same for sendmail. What else did I need to run to make it work?
