Blackbox running apps?

Hello

I have installed blackbox and am currently wondering how to run programs?

If have seen WindowMaker then you are probably familiar with Run command in the pop-up menu accessed by right clicking on root window.

Does Black box have such a utility or i have to run every thing from xterm
(witch i am sure i don't but can't find Run anywhere)

Help.

Hi,
you can get a tool for configuring your blackbox here: http://bbtools.windsofstorm.net/

I used the configuration tool to mess around with my menu and create links to the apps I use the most.

and you can get more nice looking little apps here: http://bensinclair.com/dockapp/shows...p3?show=images

I came across a "Run" utility like you mentioned but can't remember exactly where... explore around those sites or even just do a google search for "blackbox" and you'll get some stuff.
If you find anything interesting, please post back...

Hi killer_bunny!

You could:

1 - Add shortcuts to your menus with your fav. programs or
2 - Get some tools as bbkeys and bbconf. With them you can config buttons to run applications and easily edit themes or menus entries. For example, with ctrl+alt+section, I open a terminal, with with ctrl+alt+1, open Firebird, with ctrl+alt+2 opens Thunderbird, with ctrl+alt+up/down, volume control up or down. Doing that you won't need use the mouse often, nor running xterm
