[SOLVED] audacity "1.3.12-beta" recording issues

Hello everyone! How can I record line-in and also streaming audio,

using Audacity 1.3.12-beta?? In the old versions you could simply

choose the type of recording you were going to do. Now it is no longer

intuitive. I have Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop edition installed. Thank you! -gustav521

I get the feeling that it is a menu pull down item to check. Odd name of it too. I am not at my home computer and hope I can remember tomorrow to check it out.

I think it is under transport. Overdub I think is it.

Hello "jefro": thanks for your suggestion. I am going to try using Sound Recorder in Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop. I just need something simple. Thanks for your help! -gustav521
