Angry 7.2 Redhat - accidentally deleted /lib

Hi all

Ok i've been dumb and deleted the /lib directory on a 7.2 machine im working on - kernel is 2.4.7-10. Whats the best way to get back to a working situation without losing all my other data?

Thanks
Ged

just think of it this way ...
pretend your using windows98 in this situation ...
and pretend while using windows, you delete the C:\windows\system folder ..
what would you do in this situation ?
your not going to actually sit there and replace every file in there cause there is no one whos knows what exactly was in there .... and how would you go about just replacing files JUST in this folder ...

and don't message back saying :
listend d00d windows/system is not the same as /lib
or anything else like that ... cause i am just using an analogy

oh and p.s. the best working situation no matter what you end up doing, and without losing data is always to :
BACKUP your data ...
that is always the best method

so anyways the moral of this story is, and i would also be delighted to hear of a better method, but all i can think of is a re-install ...
or as errors pop up try to resolve them one by one .... if thats really what you want to do ...
i just can't see how you are going to manually reconstruct the /lib folder without a re-install ...

There must be a utility to recover deleted files. I'm a newbie, but maybe someone else knows of one.
