Weird Bind problem...

I have just setup a new Fedora server, with the latest version of Bind installed.

When running the following query:

dig 1.224.195.193.multi.uribl.com

(On the new server)

I am getting a result of 127.0.0.255 = which is wrong.

On my other (Fedora) server which is with a different hosting provider the same query returns a NXDOMAIN, which is correct.

Just getting back into Linux admin after a few years away so not sure where I have gone wrong here, any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan

Try dig +trace 1.224.195.193.multi.uribl.com, that will perform a recursive query to the authoritative server instead of trusting the answer from whatever is in /etc/resolv.conf . The DNS servers you have listed in /etc/resolv.conf might have cached an old value.

Tried that...

Tried clearing the cache, reboot, etc but still get the same (Wrong) result some how.

The trace you asked me to try produced the result below, which looks like it is querying the correct servers, but somehow getting the wrong result?
