User directories on apache


Hello, i have question anout users directories, i`ve created users and added public_html for each, enabled userdir module, and now i don`t know how to remove that boolean (~), when i try to go to users web. Now if i try to go to site i shoul write http://address/~user, but i want to remove that ~.

Sorry for my english

The tilde (~) is required, no getting around it, for user directories (it's a replacement for the absolute path).

Can someone help me with those? I tried to use (in .htaccess):

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^/~([^/]+) /$1 [R]
