qmail behind lotus Domino

Hi there,

this may seem a dumb question, but not for me.

Is it possible to put a qmailserver infront/behind a Lotus Dimono server?

We're running a Domino server which is in a cluster with other domino servers around the world.
The problem is that we recieve alott of spam everyday. the main domino server (SMTP) is based in taiwan. they have a Spam fileter running, but it blocks too much 'ham'.

I thought to put a qmail server in front of the domino server. So mails which are coming in first go to the router server -> domino server in my office -> qmail server -> client.
For sending it's the otherway around.

it will be working if I use a different domainname for mail, but the domianname have to be the same.

Will this ever work?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
