proftpd - can't login via windows explorer

Hey guys. I have a samll problem with proftpd and I can't seem to find the answer on the internet.

The information:
I have a server with Debian Linux operating system. I have the latest version of proftpd. I'm using mysql to save ftp users. I can login to my proftpd via any kind of ftp dedicated program, like (Filezilla).

The problem:
When I go to windows explorer and type in ftp://mydomain.org and enter my login details, the server wont respond and wont connect to it from local and global ip adress.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you login using another browser?
Take a look at the settings from IE
proxy, security settings....

Did you test with filezilla from the same PC as wont connect through explorer? If not, try using another ftp client on that PC (there's a familiar command-line one in Windows).

On Mozilla Firefox everything works fine from local and remote computer, same with FileZilla. But when I try to login with Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer it doesn't connect.

Then look in the settings from IE.

But I want this to work for all normal users. I don't want users to change their settings just to access my ftp server. Also my IE settings are set to default and I tried using it on many local and remote computers.

Internet Explorer behaves as a Standard mode FTP client if you select the Enable folder view for FTP sites check box, even if you also select the Use Passive FTP check box. If you clear the Enable folder view for FTP sites check box and then select the Use Passive FTP check box, Internet Explorer behaves as a Passive mode FTP client.
